Ray Breslin Advisory Board

Ray Breslin moved to Miami Beach with his partner, now husband, Patrick Pecoraro in 1998 after building a life together in Rochester, NY for 20 years. They moved with no plan but invested in studio condominiums which could be rented short term which became their source of income. They preceded AirBnB. Ray became involved with his neighborhood and community graduating from the very first leadership academy offered by the City of Miami Beach and also other programs offered including the Citizens Police Academy, the advanced Police Academy and the C.E.R.T. program. His activism led him to joint the Collins Park Neighborhood Association when it formed in 2003 and became president in 2007. He is now referred to as the Mayor of Collins Park which he quickly will ad, “with no term limits”.

Collins Park is the Cultural Epicenter of Miami Beach and home to Miami City Ballet, the Bass Museum, the Botanical Garden and the Holocaust Memorial. When the City proposed a GO Bond to shore up the Cultural Anchors of Miami Beach, Ray spearheaded the campaign raising over $135,000 to convince the voters this was the right thing ti do and it passed with over 65% of the vote taxing themselves $149 million dollars solidifying Miami Beach’s commitment to the Arts. Ray has been a supported of Dance Now Miami since the very beginning and we are thrilled that he has now joined our advisory board.
